My sister passed away on April 30, 2026, from health complications related to her service as an NYPD first responder during 9/11. The very next day, completely distraught and devastated, I met with Ms. Joanne to plan her services. I laid everything on the table and explained exactly what I wanted for my sister’s homegoing celebration, including white doves, an NYPD salute, and recognition of her service during 9/11. Ms. Joanne and the entire team at Flowers Funeral Home went above and beyond anything my family and I could have imagined. They provided us with an entire floor, allowed us additional time, and remained present, compassionate, and attentive to our family and guests throughout the entire service. Even the NYPD 9/11 helicopter tribute was incredibly meaningful. The Mass held the following day, right up the block, was equally beautiful. My sister passed away because of her 9/11-related health issues, but she was sent home like the true hero she was. Everything was more beautiful than I ever expected, and I could not have asked for a more meaningful service. Ms. Joanne, thank you for treating me and my family like your own. One of our most difficult times in life is losing someone we love, but having worked with Flower Funeral Home, they managed to make a difficult time easier to bear and helped our family to navigate a sometimes confusing process, easier to deal with. Recently my mother in law passed away . I called several places inquiring about services and pricing . I then called Flowers Funeral parlor not only were they the most affordable but also the nicest and most accommodating people you ever want to meet .I initially spoke with Mark who gave me a breakdown and then with Joanne, the quote stayed the same with out any questionable fees . They are extremely helpful in navigating exactly what is needed and what is not needed if you've never been through this. I cannot express enough how much gratitude we have for these two people in making this process, affordable and beautiful to put our love one to Rest . Thank you Mark &Joanne The DiRoma family ❤️

The staff at Flower Funeral Home went beyond expectations for our sudden loss. They spent the time to navigate my daughter and myself through this painful process guiding us to help make everything perfect. They pay attention to detail , they are knowledgeable and patient. My loved one looked incredible, the flowers spectacular , the church and service impecable! We were so confused not knowing if we were making the right choices but with their assistance we couldn't have been more pleased with the his send off.... My husband deserved only the best and they made sure he did... Do not hesitate Joanne, Anthony, Mark and staff were warm , caring, loving and understanding which gave us comfort and peace. I would strongly recommend their services if you want a Class A act

I can’t thank Joanne enough for the kindness and comfort she gave my family during one of the hardest times of our lives. From day one, she made us feel cared for and supported every step of the way. She helped me honor my mommy beautifully, and I will never forget that. Joanne is truly an angel on earth!!!!!

Losing a loved one is never easy, but Anthony Flowers made the process feel a little more manageable with his kindness, patience, and attention to every detail. From the very beginning, he and his team were incredibly respectful, understanding, and always available to answer any questions we had. They handled everything with such care and dignity, ensuring that my Mother was honored beautifully. The service was well-organized, and they truly went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s needs. I initially spoke with AJ, who was very helpful and took the time to explain pricing and some details regarding arrangements for our deceased family member. I appreciated the information he provided and the respectful way he handled the conversation. However, when I called back later, I apparently spoke with AJ’s father, Anthony, and the experience was completely different. He was short, dismissive, and frankly seemed annoyed that I had called. When I tried to ask a few follow-up questions about the information AJ had given me, he refused to discuss anything unless we came into the funeral home in person. Considering the type of business they are in and the circumstances families are dealing with when they call, the interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unhelpful. Customer service and compassion are extremely important in this industry, and unfortunately that was not my experience during that call.
